Rising hip hop star Jack Harlow‘s latest record Loose has continued to turn heads nationally garnering heaps of praise and acclaim. His new music video features a song from that album called “PICKYOURPHONEUP”. The visuals take place in a virtual reality in a setting that most of the time resembles New York city, but who the hell knows what this is supposed to be. The video appears to be largely shot in front of a green screen allowing for all sorts of cool visual effects as Jack Harlow dances around fake Time Square and fake Barclay’s Center, and then he does his thing on some sort of fun dance floor that may or may not be the X-Men’s Danger Room. Cool, I think.
For the most part, there isn’t really any story or narrative being pushed with this video, other than like the song repeatedly suggests — Harlow just really wants his girl to pick up her god damned phone. The song itself, which also features Atlanta emcee K. Camp is a fucking slick banger, perfect for night driving up and down Eastern Parkway (not a virtual Eastern Parkway, but a REAL Eastern Parkway). Listen to it on all of your favorite streaming services, then add it to your latest party playlist right away.
