  • Lamar Jackson had a decent game outing last night in his second NFL preseason game with the Baltimore Ravens. His biggest highlight was a touchdown run which can be seen below.  If you wanna see every LJ play from the game, go here.

  • Psych rockers Vale made a music video for their song “Cheri Knows” which is the third track from their self titled release which is currently streaming on Spotify.

  • According to WLKY, a brand new drive-in theater is set to open “in a few days” somewhere in LaGrange (not sure of the geography in that part of town). One outdoor screen is reportedly up and ready, and another one is apparently in the works in a massive plot of land in Oldham County. Considering that Fall is just around the corner, we’re hoping they plan to show plenty of horror flicks, new and old! Get more details here.

  • In case you were wondering, Grind Burger Kitchen still makes one hell of a burger. And they’re sprouts are un-fucking-beatable.

  • It’s that time again where we all flock to the LEO Weekly website to vote on our favorite things in Louisville. Maybe you’ll wanna vote Never Nervous in the “Best Local Blog” category. Or maybe not. It’s your life, man.

  • Earlier this week we released a podcast episode that features a thoughtful conversation with Forecastle founder JK McKnight and the brains behind Forecastle’s Party Cove, Mo McKnight. We talked in depth about FC’s activism, the history of the Party Cove, and a few highs and lows of running Louisville’s biggest music festival. Listen to it here (or on iTunes and Spotify).

  • Last year’s brilliant Concerto No. 9 album from RMLLW2LLZ is getting pressed on vinyl! Hell yeah, this record is way too good and absolutely needs to be put on wax. Preorder it here, and if you haven’t heard it yet, go here.

  • Feast your eyes on the new Louisville Football uniforms! I’m not usually into the wacky stuff that Adidas has been known to do over the years, but these are pretty sweet, I must say.

  • Jack Harlow has inked a deal with DJ Drama and Don Cannon‘s Generation Now imprint through Atlantic Records (also the the home of Lil Uzi Vert). To celebrate this monumental milestone, rising hip hop star released a music video for a his new single “Sundown” — Check it out below, then read more about it here.

  • Lil’ Andy is having a show about food this Saturday, August 11th at Zanzabar. If you’re unfamiliar with these shows, imagine going to a live version of Peewee’s Playhouse. If you’re going to “Food” this weekend, bring Lil’ Andy a snack and get half off admission. The show will also feature a special performance from Howell Dawdy. Go here for more details.

  •  Lastly, be sure to watch Teddy Bridgewater tonight as he makes his debut with the New York Jets. According to Manish Mehta at the New York Daily News It’s been 711 days since Teddy Two Gloves suffered his horrific knee injury. Let’s all join together in sending positive vibrations his way to ensure a successful comeback.
