The fine folks behind Poorcastle are at last ready to share the full lineup of bands and artists that will be performing at this year’s annual three day festival, which happens to be their sixth go-around in as many years (has it been that long?!). Taking place July 6th-8th, Poorcastle ’18 will again take place at Apocalypse Brew Works (1612 Mellwood Ave) and will feature a whopping 36 bands/artists, all of which hail from the great city of Louisville.
As we’ve seen in previous years, the Poorcastle ’18 roster is full of noteworthy bands and artists hailing from a plethora of genres and subgenres including indie rock, hip hop, pop punk, psychedelic rock, Americana, and more! While I’m stoked to see a few of my personal favorite bands, in a way I’m a bit more excited to get better acquainted with the acts I’m not overly familiar with.
Without further adieu, behold: The Poorcastle ’18 full schedule, in all its glory! (Go HERE for the daily schedule).
In addition to the music and fantastic beer provided by Apocalypse Brew Works, there will also be several food trucks on hand as well as a few rotating local dessert options to solve any hunger related predicaments you may face over the weekend. Expect an announcement soon on which trucks will be on site.
A three day pass will cost you just $10, but if you can’t make it for the whole weekend single day passes cost $5. Passes will be available for purchase very soon. More information regarding daily schedules and times will be released in the coming weeks (we’ll keep you posted!). All proceeds will benefit non-profit, all-local Crescent Hill Radio WCHQ 100.9 FM, AMPED, and MERF (Musician’s Emergency Resource Foundation). The Greg Bryant Foundation will also be present to benefit Louisville Leopards Percussionists.
