On the heels of last year’s superb Always Night EP, post punk trio Fotocrime have announced a full length record called Principle of Pain. Led by Ryan Patterson (The National Acrobat, Coliseum and WHIPS/CHAINS), the band’s debut full length is set to be released May 18th via Auxiliary Records; preorder it here.
Get a taste of what’s to come with the first single from the new record called “Nadia (Last Year’s Men), a killer tun that more or less stays the course from their last effort. I really dig Patterson’s post-apocalyptic take on synth pop — yes, if you ask me, that’s what this is when you strip it down. It’s got a dark, contemplative mood, but at the same time I can’t help my self from tapping my foot and snapping my finger along to the simplistic 80’s-style drum machine loop.
