While on the road at Austin City Limits Festival back in October, dream pop all-stars Twin Limb participated in the 4th annual Bedstock, a one-of-a-kind, life-changing online music festival where artists perform their music in bed for sick kids stuck in theirs. This initiative helps raise funds and awareness for MyMusicRx, a program that delivers the healing power of music to hospitalized kids across the country. This year’s online fest also featured in-bed performances from artists like Iron & Wine, Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band, The Breeders, and many more (go here for more performances).
Twin Limb opted to play a stripped down rendition of “Red Sun” in their Bedstock video, a song that can be found on their fabulous 2016 record Halpo. There’s not much to this performance which is what makes this video interesting as their music is normally cloaked in all sorts of reverb and thick, atmospheric noise. It’s pretty cool to hear what they sound like as a completely bare, stripped down unit in what appears to be a tent somewhere in Austin.
