Never Nervous is excited to present a new song and music video from Fool’s Ghost, the new project from husband & wife duo Nick Thieneman (Young Widows, Fotocrime) and Amber Estes Thieneman (Sandpaper Dolls, Liberation Prophecy). The single, titled “Chasing Time” is a solemnly beautiful offering driven by Amber’s heavy hearted vocals that are perfectly served over a pulsating guitar/bass section that collectively reminds me of a combination of Songs Ohia and Joan Shelley. The video itself is a gorgeous collection of highly personal shots, some with a full, illuminating color palate while others are stripped down to a pristine black and white scheme. Every “scene” in this video is incredibly moving and memorable, although each segment is very short. I wish I had more words to prepare you for these visuals, but I can honestly say that if you have a beating heart, this shit will make your eyes water up — mine have done exactly that each of the 6 or 7 times I’ve watch this video.
While as of now “Chasing Time” is the only offering available from these folks, the pair plan to release a video for another song in the near future. I’m told that they’re mostly concentrating on writing more music for a full length to be recorded in early 2018. While I don’t have any details on that potential release, I can tell you that Fool’s Ghost will be playing their debut show on Thursday, December 7th at Kaiju alongside Chris Brokaw and MINEcONTROL.
