Homie really likes Stones Throw and I like that. Lomed is back with another set of instrumental hip-hop boppers that command your neck, so protect it. You will bob your head to this, maybe uncontrollably, but likely to the beat if you have even the scarcest trace of a sense of rhythm. The music here is certainly out of the Madlib, J Dilla, or Pete Rock playbook, hook heavy and boombastic with a DJ Shadow style grace. You can tell that Lomed really does his homework on putting these beats together, from the record pops, to that crunchy compression of the format in hand: he dug through some crates. There is style plenty here, enough for everyone to have a little get down in their cereal, a cool groove that serves as the backdrop to your kicking it.
Listen below and stay golden.
