February is just a few days away which can mean only one thing: the release of the next edition of Louisville is for Lovers must be right around the corner! The physical is a limited edition (of 300) hand numbered, silk screened CD, manufactured entirely in Louisville Kentucky (CDs by Better Days Records and packaging by Audiophile Ink) in a pillow box shadow design (ships flat). The CD comes with Set 1 (16 tracks) and a download of both Set 1 and Set 2 (an additional 11 tracks). To make sure you get your copy, pre-order the CD here.
To get you hyped on the newest LIFL comp, organizer/founder/super dude John King has allowed us to provide you with an exclusive preview of a track from none-other than country band The Winger Brothers who will be performing at the 2nd annual Valentine’s Brunch at New Wave Burritos, which is set to happen Sunday, February 12th (go here for more details on the event).
“Big Pony, Little Cowboy” is the name of the song from The Winger Brothers; it’s a retro-fitted country love song that’ll surely warm you up in this blistering cold weather. The delicate vocals from Jordan Humbert coupled with the delicate, violin and slow moving acoustic and lap steel guitars come together to form a soothing, remarkable experience. This is my kind of Valentine.
