After more than a half decade’s worth of absence, singer/songwriter Isaac Mingo has returned to Louisville and has a new single available at his bandcamp page. The song in question is titled “Honey, Come On Out,” a heart-felt tune that has a strong resemblance to a few of the songs heard on Springsteen’s classic Nebraska record. High praise, I know, but I feel that this is a great track largely centered around Mingo’s soulful voice and his acoustic guitar, with a bit of decorative piano and dobro for good measure.
It’s my understanding that a proper record called Revisited is on the way, although I don’t have a release date as of yet. For now, enjoy this beautiful song below:
