PODCAST: 2015 In Review

To close out the year, we thought it’d be fun to talk about some of the music that we particularly liked from 2015. So, for the 24th episode of The Never Nervous Podcast, we once again invited our good friend Thommy Browne to join us for a chat where we each chose three of our favorite songs, two out of Louisville and one outside of town. After mentioning our picks, we faded in a sample of the track to hip you to the noise we are talking about. While our tastes vary, I think it’s safe to say that we all agreed that this collection of music is fucking stellar.

In addition to our favorite songs of the year, we each also provided an MVP from Louisville’s music community. What does that mean, exactly? I’m still not sure, but the way I understood it is we were each to select a person that we felt was responsible for making 2015 especially extraordinary. Who did we choose? What songs did we select? WORTH MENTIONING: No, we aren’t trying to suggest that this music is better than other music, we’re just talking about music that came to mind immediately before sitting down to record the episode. Yes, we left out a shit-ton of more-than-worthy tunes, which to me is a testament to how vast Louisville’s music community is and continues to be year after year.
