WATCH: DNK BDZ FMLY BND – Dream Girl

I just learned about the DNK BDZ FMLY BND yesterday and they make music that is equal in its righteousness to the band’s apparent hatred of vowels and love of all caps. I have no idea how to pronounce this name, so I’m going to assume it is meant to be translated as the Dank Beadz Family Band, which is the only logical choice. Who here doesn’t yearn for the dankest of all beadz and to revel in those beadz with your family while playing music? Probably no one, and if you are the kind of person that doesn’t have that burning desire deep in your heart, then I don’t want to know you.

This is awesome, awesome, awesome music. I wrote “awesome” three times to emphasize just how incredible this really is. What the DNK BDZ FMLY BND have going on is a kind of 90’s shoegaze vibe a la My Bloody Valentine or Swervedriver, but with a little more of a noise/grunge element thrown in, like Hum or Ventura. I mean, how can we not have an affinity for this band? One of their first lines is “in my head, I’m not nervous.” Cast aside your doubt Dank Beadz singer, because we are Never Nervous. Check out their psychedelic video below and get real mild until, that is, you can’t (spoiler: these dudes get a little rowdy closer to the end).
