A few months ago, indie rock three-piece Blind Tigers released their debut effort Mosquito, a fabulous six-song cassette via Gubbey Records. Now that it’s had a while to resonate, I like this tape even more than I did when I reviewed it a while back. Their brand of catchy garage rock has a unique balance of fuzzy crunch and delicate flow that Louisville isn’t particularly known for.
To get you hyped on Mosquito, Blind Tigers just made a music video for their song “Turnin’ Up My Radio” which kinda reminds me of a Jeff The Brotherhood meets B-52’s (without Fred Schneider) hybrid, which in my mind can only mean that this song is perfect for warm weather activities. The video showcases the band seemingly enjoying being a band, as these three people seem to truly be happy around each other. Watch the video below:
