WATCH: Bodyhammer Slay Hard at the Brycc House!

Pictured above: Gather round kids, and hear the tale of White Rabbit.

Bodyhammer were a mighty force to be reckoned with in their heyday, and this video illustrates that fury. Shot inside what looks like the front room at the Brycc House, the boys plow through their material at breakneck speed. You can hear your favorites like White Rabbit, or the criminally under-rated White Rabbit, played with a viciousness reserved for folks that cut you off in a traffic on a hot day. This is about as pissed off as it gets, a grindy mess that I took for granted at the time that they were around. Maybe I was too close to it then to appreciate (I was), but in retrospect Bodyhammer were one of the most important Louisville bands of that generation, and their music stands the test of time.

I’m not sure who to attribute the video work too, but it’s made available courtesy of William Benton’s personal archive. We should be so lucky that he will upload all of his videos, as he has a treasure trove of early-2000’s Louisville music that is sorely under-represented on the internet, be that in video or audio form. Let’s hope this is only one of more to see the light of day. Check out the video below and get in the pit and try to love someone. They sure as hell did.
