WATCH: 1200 destroys Modern Cult at the Head Cleaner Release Show

I finally had the chance to see 1200 perform last Friday at Modern Cult as part of the Head Cleaner release show, and holy shit, he didn’t disappoint. Having heard his impressive debut Symphony I, I was curious going in to see how this would translate to a live performance, as I’ve seen other hip hop artists show up and rap over prerecorded tracks, without any extra use of decorative instrumentation or visuals. Sure, there’s nothing wrong with that, but it was pretty nice to see 1200 bring something extra to the party. He had a DJ, two singers, someone playing synthesizer, and a god damned light show, none of which seemed unnecessary. Check out the video below, which features 1200 performing his song “OZ” at Modern Cult:

The performance from 1200 was energetic and a lot of fun to watch. Get your chance to see him this Friday at Headliners where he’ll be part of a fucking stellar lineup also featuring Jalin Roze, Bird Zoo, Skyscraper Stereo, & Dr. Dundiff; go here for more information on the event.

And if you haven’t already, download Symphony I here FOR FREE. You’re welcome.
