Record Store Day 2014 just got a little bit sweeter, as a most excellent show/party has been announced. On Saturday, April 19th, the folks at Astro Black, Fat Rabbit and Lisa’s Oak St. Lounge will join forces to put on a plus-sized block party to celebrate the annual holiday. The event will feature live in-store and in-Lisa’s performances by Animal City, Anwar Sadat, Bill Petot (of Whistle Peak), Kal Marks, Microwaves, and Scott Carney (of Wax Fang), not to mention a patio reading by writer/filmmaker/musician Dakota Loesch. And for you hungry people out there, Holy Mole taco truck will be there just for you.

Astro Black will open early at 9AM, music will start at 1PM, and the event will go through 7PM. Oh, and did I mention this party will cost you zero dollars? Yes, it’s 100% FREE, so use your cash to buy records, because it’s fuckin’ Record Store Day! Duh! See ya there..
